JOINT PERFORMANCE LICENSING PROGRAM RULES AND REQUIREMENTS (EXPLAINED) 1. You may not routinely include in your Broadcast Programming sound recordings within one hour of a request by a listener or at a time specifically designated by the listener. Basically, don't play a listeners request if they request it at a specific time 2. In any three-hour period, you should not intentionally program more than three songs (and not more than two songs in a row) from the same recording. Don't play more than three songs from the same album in any three three hour period. 3. You should not intentionally program more than four songs (and not more than three songs in a row) from the same recording artist or anthology/box set. Don't play the same artist more than 4 times during your radio program. You also may not play more than 3 songs by the same artist in a row. 4. Continuous looped Broadcast Programming may not be less than three hours long. If you choose not to talk and just play tracks/station ID, you must make your queue at least three hours long 5. Broadcast Programs of less than one-hour may not be repeat performed more than three times in a two-week period. Recorded programs of previous broadcasts of less than one hour may not be repeated more than three times in 14 days. 6. Broadcast Programs longer than one hour may not be repeat performed more than four times in any two-week period. Recorded programs of previous broadcasts of more than one hour may not be repeated more than four times in 14 days. 7. You should not publish advance program guides or use other means to pre-announce when particular sound recordings will be played or the order in which they will be played. You should not announce that at a particular time, a certain song will be played 8. You should only include in your Broadcast Programming sound recordings that are authorized for performance in the United States. We are only licensed to play music that was recorded in the United States. 9. You should pass through (and not disable or remove) identification or technological protection information included in the sound recording (if any). Don't modify the MP3 file to hide artist, album, genre, year recorded, or titled of the track. Also, if the MP3 contains information that identifies you as the buyer, you may not remove it 10. Broadcasts must transmit correct artist and track title data in the customary format for any music performed. Failure to supply this information is prohibited. You must give the correct information abotu the artist and track of the song you are playing. In addition, you must keep a complete record of what you have played while you were DJing on the radio station. IF YOU VIOLATE THESE RULES YOU MAY LOSE YOUR DJ POSITION ON GOVRADIO. VIOLATING THESE RULES CAUSES THE STATION'S LICENSE TO BE JEOPARDIZED AND POSSIBLY REVOKED. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PLAY.
